Batroun Mountains is a family owned and operated winery. Assaad Hark established the winery as a first-generation in 2003 in the heart of Batroun where he was born and raised. His family has been involved in every step of the process—from growing the grapes to making, bottling, packaging, and marketing the wine, including his wife, Katy, and their six children —Yaacoub, Youssef, Rita, Hala, Mira, and Yara.
Our Winemaker Assaad & Assistant Winemaker Hala are both UC Davis graduates, with Hala being the first Lebanese female to graduate from the Viticulture and Enology Program at UCDavis, ranked #1 university for winemaking in the USA and one of the top programs globally.

All of our vineyards are dry-farmed, a practice that stresses the vine and concentrates flavor, allowing the land to express itself with full honesty. The result is fruit of remarkable depth and complexity. We are certified organic by CCPB, and across all our vineyards we rely exclusively on Organic & Biological controls to manage pests and disease, working with nature rather than against it.

Our vineyards stretch between 450 and 1,500 meters above sea level, overlooking the Mediterranean, all in the district of Batroun — a range of altitude that has become the heart of our identity. Batroun Mountains was born out of the idea that Lebanese grapes tell profoundly different stories depending on where they grow. We wanted to bring a piece of Batroun to every table.
